Interest is charged if you don't pay your statement balance in full and on time. It is calculated daily at an annual rate of 21% (1.75% per month) on the unpaid balance.
Scenario 1: No repayment made by the due date
- You spent Rp1.000.000 on 7 May, and it was posted on 8 May
- On 16 May, you received your statement with a due date of 3 June
- Assuming no payment is received, interest is charged daily starting from the posted date, 8 May, until 16 June (40 days)
- On 16 June statement, you will be charged interest of Rp23.013
Rp1.000.000 x (40/365 days) x 21% annual rate = Rp23.013
Please note: Your card will be blocked if you don’t make at least the minimum payment by the due date.
Scenario 2: Partial repayment made by due date
- You spent Rp1.000.000 on 7 May, and it was posted on 8 May
- On 16 May, you received your statement with the due date of 3 June
- Assuming a payment of Rp600.000 is received on 24 May
- On 16 June statement, you will be charged interest of Rp14.728
- Interest from the transaction posted on 8 May to 23 May (16 days) = Rp1.000.000 x (16/365 days) x 21% = Rp9.205
- Interest from unpaid balance from 24 May to 16 June (24 days) = Rp400.000 x (24/365 days) x 21% = Rp5.523
- The total interest billed on 16 June is = Rp9.205 + Rp5.523 = Rp14.728
